Dr. Jonathan Beard
Currently, Dr. Beard is a senior HPC architecture researcher at ARM, focusing on developing next-generation architectures for big data at exascale.
Jonathan’s research includes online modeling, stream parallel systems, streaming architectures, compute near data, and massively parallel processing. He researched the modeling and optimization of heterogeneous streaming systems under the direction of Professor Roger Chamberlain at the Stream Based Supercomputing Lab at Washington University, St. Louis.
Created RaftLib, a C++ library that supports stream processing (data flow programming), allowing a programmer to create safe, parallel programs without knowledge of threads or locks.
